Ambient fragrances are used in products designed to create an atmosphere in homes and living spaces. Reed diffusers, room sprays and aroma burner products can explore fresh, floral, fruity, woody or oriental directions. Atamax considers fragrance character alongside the product’s diffusion method and intended setting.
How is it assessed in the application?
Carrier, bottle and reeds are included in reed diffuser assessment, while the base and spray format are considered for room sprays. Evaluation looks beyond the scent when the bottle is opened to how the sample performs within its product system. Each format is assessed separately when a brand extends one scent idea across a range.
